While my sweet potato was in the microwave, I painted my nails this lovely color, and also grabbed some carrots to munch on. When it was all spread out before me, I realized how funny it looked. And as I’m typing this, I just realized I also have a on a deep orange shirt. Wow.

And we’re off! This is at mile 18 or so. Rajesh’s son, Kiran, ran towards us and then ran for about a mile or so with us. And apparently we didn’t notice the car behind us since we were so excited to see the friendly faces of Rob and Stephanie (Rajesh’s wife). Almost there!!

Heading out the door! So nervous and so excited! Hydration. Check. Lucky green ribbon. Check. Good friends. Check. Todd, Fiona, John, me, Rajesh, and Sarah. Both Fiona and Sarah qualified for Boston! They started the race with a prayer just before the gun went off.
