I’m Addicted to You

Hi,

My name is Teri and I’m addicted to peanut butter. I’ll eat it straight out of the jar, in oatmeal, while driving in the car. On a banana, on some toast, I’ll even try it on some roast tofu.

Alright, now that that is out of the way…Helloooo! Happy Saturday! I hope it’s been a good one for ya. I taught PowerSculpt this morning at a women-only gym, but today men were invited to a “Make Your Sweetie Sweaty” Valentine’s workout fest. I had a couple guys in my class and I could tell they were blown away by the difficulty. I even had one guy leave early. (bwahahahaha!)

I used a mostly pro-love playlist (in contrast to my spin one) considering people were bringing their sweeties to the class.

Song Title Artist
1 4 Minutes The Biggest Loser Power Music Mix
2 The Way You Make Me Feel Michael Jackson
3 Ain’t No Other Man Christina Aguilera
4 Ruby Blue Róisín Murphy
5 If My Heart Had Wings Faith Hill
6 What Is Love Haddaway
7 I Am In Love With You Imogen Heap
8 My Life Would Suck Without You Kelly Clarkson
9 Fantasy Mariah Carey
10 I Love You Martina McBride
11 You Can’t Hurry Love Dixie Chicks
12 I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) The Proclaimers
13 Ruby Blue Róisín Murphy
14 You Rock My World Michael Jackson
15 Mercy Duffy
16 Valentine Jim Brickman & Martina McBride

And guess what I did tonight? I finally tried kale chips. I’m already an addict.

Here’s how you can become a kale chip addict too:

  1. Buy organic kale (organic because it’s very dirty).
  2. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  3. Rinse the kale.
  4. Tear it into pieces (removing from the stalk).
  5. Put the kale into a baggie and toss in some olive oil (I used four large stalks of kale and used probably 1 t. olive oil). Add salt and pepper.
  6. Shake whatcha momma gave ya the baggie o’kale to coat it all.
  7. Spread the kale out on a cookie sheet. (If you want extra tastiness, sprinkle some nutritional yeast on top. Yes, really. It’s delicious. Kind of cheesy.)
  8. Bake for about 10 minutes or until crispy.
  9. Try to convince your husband they could be a good substitute for potato chips. Enjoy.

Well, I’m off to Ashley’s blogger get-together! OK, not really, but I wish! Have fun ladies!

I’ll be hanging out at home tonight, pondering my addictions and how to beat my demons how to incorporate them into my life more.

My addictions include:

  • peanut butter
  • dark chocolate
  • whole wheat toast with butter
  • frozen mango
  • ice cream (preferably Purely Decadent)
  • blogging
  • reading blogs
  • exercising
  • changing my hair (proof here)

Fess up – What are your addictions, food-related or otherwise?

Um, yeah…peanut butter. We go through a jar a week at our house. It’s kind of embarrassing. Kale chips are also too fantastic.

My other food obsession is trail mix…preferable with lots of almonds, a little chocolate, and some dried fruit. I like seeds, too. Mmmm.

haha – we I go through a jar of PB each week too!

Do you make your trail mix or do you have a brand you like?

Thank you sooo much for sharing your Kale chips recipe- i’ve been wondering exactly how these were made and will definitely try it out.

Addictions/obsessions:
~peanut butter (duh!)
~pink lady apples
~Crystal Light white blueberry tea (which was apparently just discontinued and i’m devastated)
~NUTS! If I am alone with some cashews, macadamias and/or pecans- poor things don’t have a chance! :)
~exercise
~SUN, SUN, SUN

I don’t think i’ve ever had frozen mango, so will have to try it. I do love dried mangos covered in dark chocolate!

I hope you like them!

I just bought pink lady apples yesterday. I don’t know if I’ve ever had them! I just bought raw cashews yesterday. It’s pure trouble. And yes, SUN is the best!! :)

Dried mangos are awesome! I’ve never had them covered in chocolate though. Sounds amazing. :)
