I did the workout for Week 5, Day 3 on Saturday. I followed column 1 and seriously couldn’t even get close to maxing at 30. I got to 21 and collapsed. Granted, this was after I took an hour-long Pump class.

Today I did another max test. I did 39 consecutive push-ups! When I started the program and did my first max test, I did 15. I’m quite pleased with myself.
To move on to the workouts for Week 6, I needed to do 45 consecutive push-ups in the max test, so I will be repeating the Week 5 workouts. I’ll follow the second column this week though.
I can’t believe it’s already 9 PM so I’m going to keep this short and go relax before it’s time for bed. Night!

I was JUST thinking about the push-up challenge today because I’m going to start it as my March goal. Eeeek….!!!!! I’m just so impressed by your progress!
awesome! the progress is crazy – I never would have thought I could do close to 40 consecutive push-ups! I can’t wait to read your posts about the push-up challenge. hehehehe
That pump class was HARD. Good thing it was like 92% legs!! Haha. I’m still sore. Not to mention my TRICEPS!!!!!! They feel like they’re going to fall off my arms. You really should post a picture by picture workout tip/guide thing for that move. I think you should patent it! Let’s collaborate, you be the model, I’ll take the pictures. DONE.
seriously, it was intense. have her classes always been that hard and I’ve just forgotten??
I’m so happy your triceps are sore. And I’m pretty sure someone else has already thought of that move before. I’m not that creative.
But yes, we should do a little move photo shoot to spice up the blog.
A push class AND this workout, you go girl! I can’t brag about that so I will brag for YOU! Awesome, you have inspired me to do A push-up
haha! Way to go! A pushup is better than none!
way to go girl! i’m working up from knees to feet pushups, so i think i might steal this program once i’m there…hoping another month at most!
awesome!
Wow that is so good. I do not think I could do 10 pushups even…….
You should join the challenge!
I did day 3 of week 2 last night…I barely managed to get 14 out before I died. and I dont’ know if you could even count the last one
But that was after my weight lifting class. Yea, won’t be doing that again!
P.S. I tried making bread on Sunday, but forgot I needed molasses…so I just added flax seed to my normal recipe and loved it! Next time I’ll try yours.
yeah, push-ups after a weight lifting class is NEVER a good idea.
I’m glad you liked the flax seed in your bread! Did you add it whole or ground?
Ground. And I also let my bread rise twice (in bowl, punch down, then again once in formed in loaves) and I thought it made a big difference!
I love that you post all these random, good for you recipes and things you eat (along with your opinion of them)! I’m always (especially after reading In Defense of Food) looking for healthy options! So thanks, and keep ‘em comin!
Good! I’m glad you like it.
I don’t think I want to be a food blog that posts about every meal and every morsel I eat because (1) that takes too much effort and (2) it could get boring. But I try to post about things that I think are new or unusual.
Let me know if there is something else you’d like to see!
Hey Terri! I just found your blog not that long ago and I love it! My roommate (who is also a fan) proposed this pushup challenge to me the other day, so we’ve modified it (50 pushups) and I’ve decided to chronicle it on my blog http://bmorehealthybabes.wordpress.com/ Check it out and watch us embarass ourselves haha
.-= Gabrielle´s last blog ..Push-up Challenge =-.
Thanks! I’m glad you guys are doing the push-up challenge; I’ll be following along!
I’m actually thinking about modifying my goal to 50 just because I’m so sick of push-ups and want to move onto a different challenge…but I hate not finishing something!!
