Happy March! Seriously, it’s March? Then please tell me why it is currently snowing outside. I moved to the South from Utah, folks. I don’t want no stinking snow!
At least someone is enjoying it. No, I will not go outside and throw your mangy duck for you Maizey!
Anyway…in light of a new month, I’m setting some new goals, like some of you have been doing. Here are my March goals:
1. Hit the snooze button just ONCE. I know, I really shouldn’t hit snooze at all, but considering my alarm habits lately, once is a big improvement. Novel concept to get up soon after the alarm goes off. [I did get up this morning after hitting snooze just once…but only about 1 minute before the alarm was about to go off again…so that probably counts as two snoozes).
2. Eat breakfast sitting down, preferably at the table instead of the bar. This requires following through with Goal #1.
3. Practice yoga once a week. YogaDownload.com makes it so easy to have access to good yoga sessions. Tina’s Yoga Challenge is 20 minutes 2x a week, but I’m just aiming for once.
4. Stay on track with the 100 pushup challenge. I accidentally keep taking a week or so off between each set of workouts. Starting today folks, I’m doing it weekly so the challenge won’t drag on forever.
5. Chew….more….slowly….I know I’m a fast eater, but this post was a good reminder about why it’s good to slow down and chew your food up well before swallowing.

Maizey has swallowed plenty of fluff. And plastic. And you know how we find out about it…when she pukes it up… eew… That duck has only survived because it’s an outside toy and she doesn’t play with it as much as all the inside toys.
i REALLY like your first goal! i hit the snooze button so many times it’s insane. my goal is to fit into some clothes i haven’t been able to wear for a while by mid month…definitely getting harder!
Good luck with that goal! Fitting into “old” clothes is such a good feeling!

It’s snowing in Atlanta??? You have even more of a right to complain!
I live in Raleigh and so far all we’ve had is sleet with a teeny bit of snow…and I’m totally cool with just that.
I set a similar goal recently re:alarms–to get up the first time my alarm goes off, at 5:15AM, ’cause I’m an alarm re-setter and will keep moving it back until it’s at 8:20 and I only have 10 minutes to get ready for work. I’ve only been doing it for a little over a week but it’s been SO nice to have time to get ready in the morning!
I’m jealous; we’ve got 2-3″ out there. Blech.
At least you re-set the alarm; I just hit snooze for like an hour! So annoying! It’s not like I even sleep well when I do that!

I need to incorporate goal #1 into my life ASAP!!!! Pretty sure I hit snooze about 10 times this morning……therefore missing my workout!!!
haha…the only time I workout in the morning these days is when I’m teaching a class and I CAN’T snooze through that!
