Happy Saturday! It’s been a productive one for me so far. Body Pump. Then Body Flow. Then sitting on the couch whimpering while my biceps trembled. Then cleaning. Then Costco. Then feeling broke. Now blogging.
There were SO many great reads this week. Enjoy!
The Weekender
- How much digital downtime do you get? After this article, I’ve been working on not checking my iPhone at every stoplight, while waiting for spreadsheets to open, while brushing my teeth, etc.
- I LOVED this post from (never home)maker about how she, a health blogger, eats *GASP!* “bad” food sometimes. I love honest posts like this.
- If you aren’t subscribing to The Food Illusion, you really should. She writes incredibly informative posts like this one about the different names for corn in processed food.
- Inspired by Rachel’s awesome post about “owning” what you are and what you do, Caitlin wrote a post about what she owns. Both are great reads.
- I can’t wait to try Michelle’s pumpkin spiced roasted chickpeas. mmmm….
- This is an oldie but a (very) goodie from Emily’s blog. I have it bookmarked and read it every month or so. It’s about portion control and how she builds her meals with balance.
- My friend’s little sister who has a design blog put up a post about Jamie Oliver’s minimalist packaging/labeling for his Williams & Sonoma line of products. I love what I see for many reasons.
- You.must.check.this.out. No exceptions. I LOVE what Heather is doing.
- My cowboy brother Roger somehow (stupid other brothers) found out that I blogged about him. He commented on this post and here. You have to scroll over his name to look at the links he provided for his “website” on each comment. LOL.
Other things you should know:
- I’m terrible at updating my Blogroll. But I’m trying to add a couple new links each week instead of trying to add dozens all at once every couple months. So, if you’re looking for new reads, check it out!
- We have a definitive answer on the pronunciation of Vibrams! Lindsay Von (not that Lindsay Vonn) works for an outdoor retailer and the Vibram rep was in last week. The rep told her and she told me that the correct pronunciation is….VEE-bram. Damn you Rob!
Today’s Question:
What is this? If you know, have you ever had it?
It’s one of my favorite things ever ever ever. It reminds me of my childhood.
