Your Questions Answered by The Biggest Loser Winner

Woah, is that blog title a little confusing? The Biggest Loser Winner? That type of commentary probably stopped being entertaining after season 1 right? Too bad. It still makes me giggle. ;)

Anyway… thank you everyone for entering the V8/Vera Bradley giveaway! There were so many great ideas of pre-workout snacks! If you need ideas, check out the comments. Bananas and peanut butter are very popular choices. :) The winner was… Megan! She said: If I work out at night I usually eat a rice cake with some almond butter and maybe a piece of fruit, depending on how hungry I am. But in the morning I never eat either! I’ll email you soon to get your prize out to you Megan!

Now, I have something else you for you that I’m exciting about! Remember how you submitted questions for Bernie Salazar, one of The Biggest Loser winners?  I now have answers to the questions that YOU submitted! (Thank you to Bernie for answering these questions and to Orville Redenbacher for helping coordinate all this!) Watch the video below to learn some of his tips for working out, eating right, and staying motivated.

Also, a few of you mentioned concerns about microwave popcorn being dangerous as toxic chemicals leach from the microwave bag into the popcorn. So, I reached out to Orville Redenbacher to get their response. They shared this information: The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Health Canada and other health authorities have determined that it is safe both to prepare and consume [microwave popcorn]. Orville Redenbacher’s popcorn packages don’t contain any material that can break down into or produce PFOAs and the packages are approved for use by the FDA.

I hope this alleviates any concerns you may have about microwave popcorn. If you are still doubtful, you can always make it on the stove and it stores well to take to work in a airtight container! :)

Now, it’s time for me to head to bed!  And when I feel like staying in bed when my obnoxious alarm goes off, I’ll remember Bernie’s advice to think about what really motivates me to workout. And for me, getting extra time with the pup in the evening gets my booty out of bed. Not kidding. Yep, I sure love that dog.

That’s exactly what motivates me too! I feel so guilty and Annie gives me the death stare if I try to leave at night. Also, she thinks that when I put on tennis shoes it means we are going to the park. That’s why I always stick to AM workouts! xo
