Happy Weekend friends! I hope you had a great weekend – it was a fun one up in here. My weekend started Thursday night getting my hair did. I got some red put it in and he curled it for me because I was gushing over Jennifer Nettles’ hair in a music video that was playing while I was there. I’m not sure how I feel about the red when it’s straight, but it’s ok when it’s curly. So…we’ll see.
Friday night, I hit the gym for some Body Pump and Dance Trance.
I hadn’t been to Dance Trance in weeks and said I’d just stay for a few songs since I’d already done Body Pump. I ended up staying for the entire class because I had so much fun.
Afterwards, had a great time Friday night at Single Brothers & Finnegan’s with some besties. And Saturday, I got my nails shellacked with a hot pink color and am completely obsessed. (Ok, you can’t tell but they are neon pink in this picture. I”ll get another, better picture sometime in the next 2 weeks.)
I’m also obsessed with the dress that I blogged about on the last Weekender.
Alrighty, since the weekend is almost over, let’s squeeze in The Weekender.
The Weekender
- I want to try this Fat Blast Workout you can do in a small space at home. I like how she gives suggestions for household items that can be used instead of actual gym equipment like a stack of magazines instead of a medicine ball.
- Why is lunch planning so. dang. hard? Holly is here to help us.
- Wait, Cheryl Crow is 50? Goes to show that healthy eating and exercising pays off! (Too bad I skipped my workout today…)
- Chelsey, you’re a brave women. Both for sharing this post and for trying acupuncture.
The Week in Fitness
S – 9 mile run at a 8:10 pace
M – Body Pump
T – rest? I think?
W – Athletic Yoga
Th – Elliptical
F – Body Pump & Dance Trance
S – Rest
How do you feel about country music? I grew up on country music and nothing else. Seriously, not kidding. I’m a little well-rounded now but didn’t know anyone outside of guitars and story-telling lyric until I was in high school. I love country music – Garth Brooks, Sugarland, Carrie, Underwood, Dierks Bentley, all of it. Well, except Tim McGraw & Faith Hill. Not a fan.

I just had to comment on this post because I also got a hot pink shellac mani this weekend! They are seriously the best, I love how long they stay on. I couldn’t decide on a color and then chose hot pink at the last minute and I’ve been staring at my nails all weekend, perfect for Valentine’s week! Also, I love you hair and that dress, super cute! Looks like you had a lovely weekend
I love your new hair, I think it really suits you like that, and the red adds extra depth
And your dress is really lovely. Sounds like you had a good weekend! I really like country music, it’s only a relatively new find for me but I enjoy listening to it, it always makes me feel quite mellow

Love the new hair – love love love! The red really compliments you and your coloring as well.
Thanks for linking up to that post – believe it or not, I’m already seeing some benefits to the acupuncture!

So in love with your hair and that dress! I haven’t tried the shellac yet… maybe for a special occasion… or as a reward for some fitness goals or something! I also love all the neon outfits in your class, so fun! Lunch planning is hard!
I like country. I did like it growing up but then I ended up listening to it a bunch in college because my roomies loved it. Now I like it, but sometimes the super twangy older stuff is too much for me. And what’s wrong with Tim and Faith?! I love them!

Cute dress! I, too, grew up on country music – unless it was one of those rare times dad was driving, and then it was oldies. I don’t enjoy it so much today – there are so many other genres to enjoy!

I LOVE Country music. I did not grow up on it, but developed a love for it during my first year of college. I will admit that there is some country music that is down right awful, but that goes with any genre. I am constantly listening to the country music stations on Pandora as well as on my regular radio. There’s just something about it that I love. I think its the fact that its not like any teenage pop or gangster rap, where you can barley understand the words and the singers voices are just average. You can find a country music song that relates to anything going on in your life and I think that’s what initially drew me in!

i love your hair!…this type of hair style was inspiration that led me to lop off 12 inches of my hair four years ago and I am always looking for a cute reason to cut my hair off, again
your hair looks very cute!

I love your hair – I think it looks really good! When I went red again this last time (okay, it was orange at first), I had a hard time getting used to it, but now I love it!
