Hi guys! I hope you had a great weekend! Mine was wonderful!! On Friday night, I went to the Dog Days Live Music Series at RayLen Vineyard. This particular event was raising money to build a dog park - Tanglewoof (ha!) at a Tanglewood Park. The live music was great – I loved the singer; she covered a lot of songs I like and covered them well!

I made an awesome stuffed acorn recipe and wrapped it in foil. It stayed warm and was perfect picnic food! It was delicious I swear even if the picture is scary – pecans, cranberries, delicious!

On Saturday, I went for a long-for-me-right-now run. I went 6.4 miles in 53 minutes! I haven’t run that distance in months!! It felt great! Plus, the weather was juuuust chilly enough that I needed long sleeves. I love running in the fall!

I took a quick shower, did a quick house cleaning to prep for some friends coming to visit next week (YAY!!!!) and then hit the road with a friend. In the car, I drank a bottle of Activate that was recently sent to me. This company says that vitamins and minerals lose their potency when they sit in water, so the vitamins are stored in a little capsule at the top. You twist it and a powder drops into the water. Shake and drink! It was kind of fun.
It tasted like not-as-potent Gatorade. I liked it. I’ll let you know when I try the other flavors.

We were headed up to the Sparta area to visit a pumpkin patch. On the way, we noticed that a vineyard that also has a cider works was on the way and I’m a sucker for hard cider, so we stopped at McRitchie Vineyard & Ciderworks. More on that at another time!
We made it to the Blue Mountains Farms pumpkin patch in Glade Valley, NC and it was such a picturesque fall scene!

I got four pumpkins for my porch and made my little punkin’ pose for a picture. (I promise I can count. I grabbed a 4th pumpkin after I took this picture.)

bwahahahaha. This cracks me up.

She forgave me.

It was such a great day. I love fall activities and the North Carolina mountains.
What makes it feel for you like fall has officially arrived? For me, it doesn’t feel like fall until I’ve worn jeans tucked into boots. Now I have so it’s officially fall.
PS – the winner of the HTC One X is Clare F! Congrats!! I’ll email you to get it out to you!

Thank you all for your entries! There were a lot of apps I’d never heard of that I’m excited to check out!

I love fall running! Unfortunately, it’s still insanely hot in SLC (75 when I left for a 6pm run the other night). Looks like you’re enjoying those NC mountains! I sure miss them!
Weird that it’s still so hot in Utah…
