Hi guys! Happy November. Um, woah, how did it get here so fast? I started off my day with a power flow class at Village Yoga. Since I’ve been running more, I’ve noticed some tightness in my IT band, hamstrings and lower back. Instead of letting it get worse and then ending up with an injury or in physical therapy, I’m listening to my body and making sure I fit in yoga once a week to keep my muscles loose.
It was a busy day at work today with many meetings and lately, I’ve been letting myself feel very stressed. I’ve been trying to remember to maintain a state of “ease” and also to take a few minutes each day just to sit and breathe. Not exactly meditation, but just sitting, no phone, no computer, and taking deep full breaths. It’s hard to remember to do it, but if stress is really contributing to my breakouts, I’m willing to give it a try.
A few of you asked for an update since I’ve been using Cosmedix. Unfortunately, it’s not working for me. I’m still having pretty severe breakouts and my skin feels really tight and uncomfortable. I also got a Clarisonic. Doesn’t seem to be helping either. So…. I’m going back to the Simone France line. I’m really excited to see if I have the same good results as the last time I used it.
And, speaking of Simone France, they actually sent me a body scrub and lotion to try a few weeks ago – Body Buff & Body Glow. (This gift from them had no impact on my decision to buy their face products again…I’ll be spending my own money on the facial skincare products.) I’m really bad at remembering to exfoliate so I was eager to try these products.
The scrub smells divine and it’s the perfect scrubbiness – not too harsh or too gentle. The citrusy sugar scrub dissolves fairy quickly in the warm water and my skin feels soft and moisturized after massaging it on my legs, arms, everywhere but my face.
It’s made with oil so it has that slight oil film remaining (there has to be a better way to describe that…), but if you didn’t want that, you could just wash it off with soap. I always leave it because I love how it feels. So soothing and moisturizing! I keep the scrub in my shower and use it once a week. And the Body Glow is my new go-to daily lotion. It’s light and non-greasy, absorbs quickly and leaves my skin very soft.
The lovely folks at Simone France graciously offered to give a scrub and lotion set to one of my readers. To enter, just leave a comment telling me your favorite sandwich! (Sandwiches are on my mind since I just read about their sandwich method…I actually don’t really like sandwiches very often unless it’s a grilled cheese and since I can’t eat good cheese….sigh… anyway, I digress. Sandwich! Go!)
BTW, the votes for a budget post won so I’ve got that in the works. I also have the running post in a draft stage too so I’ll please everyone eventually. Well, not everyone, but at least my readers that asked for it.
You can’t please everyone and it’s simply no way to live trying to do so.

I love a caprese sandwich . . . basil (or pesto), mozarella, and big chunky tomatos! P.S.- Clarisonics are awesome, but it takes a long time of consistency to see the results. I used mine for a year, before I looked up and realized that somewhere over the past year, my skin turned from blah to gorgeous!
A fluffernutter! PB and marshmallow fluff
Grilled Cheese all the way, but with an interesting cheese like gruyere.
I make a chicken, roasted red pepper, mozzarella, and homemade pesto sandwich on grilled sourdough! Yum!
I love a good veggie sub-style sandwich – with avocado and cream cheese, and all the other veggies.. so good!
i like hummus, grilled cheese, and caprese sandwiches!!

Thank you for the reminder to do some yoga. I’ve been running more lately and definitely have been noticing my lower back and hamstrings getting tight. Looks like I better make some time for some vinyasas this afternoon.
My favorite sandwich is my mom’s grilled cheese with onions and salami!

Grilled cheese with pesto and tomato slices!
Avocado, sprouts, bacon, harboiled egg on toasted brown bread. I would love one right now!!
I had a pretty awesome grilled cheese today. Caramelized onions, tomato, avocado & tons of gouda cheese on fresh baked focaccia. “Gourmet” grilled cheese sandwiches like that are generally my fave but I’m a sucker for anything pressed panini style!
I love a good ole fashioned grilled cheese sandwich cut into 4 squares ..makes me feel like a little kid again
I always love a good old peanut butter and banana sandwich : )
Starbucks has a chicken salad sandwich made with dried cranberries and tarragon that I’ve been obsessed with!
I like an oldie but goodie-whole wheat bread, turkey, mustard and lettuce!
Lately I’ve been obsessed with grilled cheese sandwiches!
Since it only comes once or twice a year – a leftover cold turkey and stuffing sandwich with some mayo on homemade bread. I’m dreaming of it already!
Right now my favorite is a fried egg and avocado sandwich. SO GOOD.
I love italian subs!
I love a good chicken club sandwich with avocado! Yum
I love a good ol’ BLT! Even better with avocado…a BLAT!
Grilled cheese sounds amazing now! And I can’t eat dairy or gluten, either, so it’s tempting but off-limits.
Also, after oil-cleansing methods, different creams, soaps, etc I finally sucked it up and started Accutane. I’m SO glad I did.
Definitely gluten-free, lactose free grilled cheese. I use udi’s millet chia bread. Also, did you know Cabot’s cheddar cheese is naturally lactose-free? I don’t know if you’re sensitive to lactose, or casein, but part of the aging process naturally eliminates lactose in their aged cheddar cheeses, and it’s delish. I’m super sensitive to lactose and I’ve never had a problem. Also, Trader Joe’s makes this “lacy colby jack” it’s has a swiss cheese appearance to it, which is lactose free and is SO, SO good.
One of my favorite sandwiches to make: turkey, sharp white cheddar, and grilled onions on those little Hawaiian rolls. Yum.
Two of my favorites to buy: a good Italian hoagie and/or a chicken cheesesteak. Double yum.
Thank you for updating about Cosmedix! I bought it myself – so, hopefully it works for me…or else I’ll be going this route too! Thanks again for the update – my acne appreciates it!
My favorite sandwich is white cheddar, tomato, avocado, onion, lettuce, chipotle mayo on wheat. YUM!
love grilled cheese and ham
thanks
Turkey, avocado, and pepper jack cheese!
I love veggie sandwiches–especially ones with avocado slices, cucumbers, sprouts, roasted red peppers and tomatoes.
A BLT minus the T. Someday I’ll try it with the tomato but for now, I just like whole wheat toast, lettuce and turkey bacon.
